Guided Wave Testing

Guided Wave Testing
Guided wave ultrasonic testing:
Guided wave uses the piezoelectric array probe to generate “Torsional mode” ultrasonic through pipe surface, which enables the waves to travel long distance and detect corrosion on site.

Pipeline system are carefully bonded together with our daily life. Pipeline such as cooling water, hydrant piping, elevated piping, underground piping and road-crossing or even more, all of these cases are easily influence life and threaten our health when aging pipes or corrosion are being used; Unlike the traditional none-destructive testing methods(PT.ME.UT.RT.ET) which inspect the object fairly localized; the Guided wave can simply inspect long-distance and wide-range while installing the probe on single spot, informing us where the corrosion has been located. Similar to doctors who generally understand how great our body is working and where could be the most sever condition in just a single touch on pulsed.

Moreover, the promotion of Risk Based Inspection is now widely spreading, which maximize the inspection range on Guided wave testing and support the best ”CML” data over system management.
